Mindbridge Membership Meeting

  1. Waved at meeting minutes and Treasurer’s report was given again.
  2. Gamicon Manganese , AnimeIowa, & ICON: see November 2015 Board Minutes 91 people prereg for 2016.
  3. Game Library —The Hobby Corner, Friday, November 6th, 5-8pm, Castles of Mad King Ludwig.
  4. Book Group Mon. Nov. 16th 6 pm, Coffeesmith’s, Parasite by Mira Grant.
  5. Mindbridge Reads on GoodReads
    1. Drawing for prizes will happen during January meeting.
    2. Must be present to win and must enter books on GoodReads by end of year. If no one is present the dog will win.
  6. Discussed Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 as Storage Locker garage sale/throw away party.
  7. Extra Life 2015 November 7th The Hobby Corner (24 hour gaming marathon) charity event to UI Children’s Hospital.
  8. AI 2017 Bid to be voted on next meeting.
  9. Next meeting at the ARC of Southeast Iowa, December 2nd, 2015 6pm board and 7 pm membership

Mindbridge Board Meeting November 4th, 2015 Denny Lynch’s Home

  1. Treasurer’s report given (B&N check to go in ICON account)
  2. Convention reports
    1. ICON 40 — Registration was 530.
      1. What a success! There was attendance feedback on venue.
      2. David Gerrold had a great time as guest and would come back again.
      3. Denny is exhausted and not insane enough to be concom again for 41.

  4. Book Group Mon. Oct. 12th 6 pm, Coffeesmith’s, Midnight Riot by Ben Aaronovich.
  5. We received and voted on an ICON 41 budget and proposal.
    1. Susan Leabhart will be heading ICON 41 and the proposal passed unanimously.
    2. ICON 41 will be at Collins Rd Marriott on October 28-30th, 2016.
