Mindbridge Minutes March 6, 2019 at Denny Lynch Casa

      1. Gamicon
        1. Good attendance, About 520 people, made money;
        2. Raised about $350 for Ronald McDonald House charity
        3. Next meeting Sunday March 31st, 6 pm, Beer Burger in North Liberty
      2. AnimeIowa
        1. Next meeting Saturday March 9, 2 PM, IEC in Des Moines
      3. ICON
        1. Next meeting Saturday, April 6, 2:30 PM, Iowa City Public Library Room E (upstairs)
        2. Created a private Facebook staff group (like the Gamicon staff group)
        3. Got 2 people to do programming, volunteer to shadow Jenny Todd on Con Suite and possibly take it over for 2021
        4. Need Volunteer head, Logistics head, Art Show head, Publicity head
        5. Hosted a room party at Gamicon, had fun
        6. Will host a room party at Demicon

      1. Game Library – Captain Marvel Secret Skrulls Game Demo, Thursday March 7, 5 PM, The Hobby Corner
        1. At Gamicon 2019 there were:
          • 360 Checkouts (249 Play to Win – 111 Game Library)
          • 80 Unique games were checked out from the library.
          • 157 Unique users played games (75 PTW only – 54 Library only – 28 Both PTW & Library)
          • Games with the most checkouts (library):

      2. Book Group: Monday March 11, 6 pm, Scooter’s Coffee, Libriomancer by Jim C. Hines

      3. Treasury Retreat – March 30th, Cedar Rapids Marriott. Who – all con treasurers and Board of Directors
      4. Annual Meeting – Saturday May 18th, Jon M is checking on location
      5. Denny – Apollo 11 Documentary doing exclusive area showing at Collins road Theaters
      6. ICON would like to have a bunch of the Mindbridge bookmarks that Michele created for other cons such as WisCon. Michele M will update and get printed.
