Mindbridge Meeting Minutes Feb 5th, 2025

  1. Treasurer’s Report (Jon): Up $4165.88
  2. IT Officer (Tony): N/a
  3. Storage Manager (Carhoff Alliance): Sat 8th at noon Jenny will be assessing the Lockers for repairs
  4. Convention Reports -All conventions are looking for additional help.
    1. Gamicon (Feb 28-March 2nd, 2025)
      1. Sat Feb 22nd 1-4pm at Casa de Maakstad in Person
        1. Box stuffing party will be done
        2. Cat napping envelopes will also be stuffed at the meeting
      2. Move in-Thurs Feb 27th 5:30pm meet at the food court at Coralridge mall
      3. Benefactors can reg for events starting on Feb 1st
      4. Regular attendees can reg for events on Feb 8th

    2. AnimeIowa (July 24th – 27th, 2025)
      1. Staff meeting this Saturday 8th @2:00 PM in Coralville Hyatt hotel & online
      2. Staff Room block is planned to open between Mar 17th and 28th (to be confirmed later of exact date)
      3. General room block will open on Mar 31st

    3. ICON (ICON50-2026)
      1. ICON 49.5/50 meeting was held January 25, 2025, at the Iowa City Public Library.
      2. Next ICON meeting is Saturday, February 22, 2025 , 2-5pm, Iowa City Public Library, Meeting Room E (second floor). Online link will be sent closer to the meeting.
      3. We are investigating possible dates for ICON 50. Possibly moving to avoid having to wait for the Iowa football schedule to be decided. A 2026 calendar is being created with conventions and local events that may conflict and should be avoided.

      1. Thur Feb 13th we will be discussing a general discussion covering the books that we have read and those we would like to read at Panera on Edgewood Rd in Cedar Rapids at 6pm.

    1. AI Bid for 2026
    2. Please make sure to have any Convention Bid sent to the Board at least 2 weeks before the monthly member meeting. 1 week for the rest of the membership body. This is to allow people to be able to read and formulate any questions.
    3. Board Ribbons proposal has been approved by Board Members
