Mindbridge Meeting Minutes Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 7 PM online

      1. Convention will be July 30-Aug 1, 2021, Coralville Marriott
      2. Hotel block doing well
      3. 2022 bid submitted
      4. Reaching out to guests
      5. Staff meeting Saturday, May 8, 2 pm, online using Zoom and in person at the Coralville Marriott
      6. Covid policy finalized
      7. Looking at a documentary crew for the convention
      8. Some staff members are meeting at locker this Saturday 9:30-10am
      9. Late registration ends this month

      2. Marriott proposed ICON contracts for 2022 and 2023
      3. Convention is October 15-17, 2021, UI Homecoming so get your room reservation in

    1. Michele got quote on barriers from Alpha Graphics, Adam B will check with AI for their desires

    1. The Mindbridge Website has been reorganized by Mark McKibben, https://mindbridge.org/
    2. Mindbridge Annual meeting will be online this year, Saturday May 22, 1 pm, looking at some online gaming at end of meeting
    3. Katie not running for reelection
    4. Looking at resuming movie nights this summer assuming it’s safe, possibly renting a theatre for a showing also
    5. AnimeIowa 2022 bid discussion, will be voting at the June meeting.
    6. Demicon has announced dates and Guests of Honor for 2022
    7. Had successful evening at CR Kernels game, boosted them into winning!
    8. From Michele: Eventbrite is having a virtual seminar on May 20 & 21 about the future of event planning. Seems interesting if anyone from our projects wants to look into it. I won’t be able to, so please pass this along to whomever you think might be interested.
