Mindbridge Annual Membership Meeting
May 18, 2019 noon Coralville Public Library

  1. Call to Order
  2. Minutes – reading waived, posted online
  3. Treasurer’s Report – We have about $13K more than last month
  4. Convention Reports
    1. AnimeIowa
      1. Michele needs help for the Game Library at AI for Thursday evening/Friday, please contact her if you can help
    2. ICON
      1. May have someone to run Art Show!
      2. Still need Logistics, Volunteer and Publicity.
      3. Tracie will not be doing ICON Registration after ICON 44
      4. Next meeting Saturday May 18th, 3 PM, Coralville Public Library.
      5. The next programming meeting with be June 1 in Cedar Rapids at the Penticoff casa. June meeting date and time TBD.
    3. Gamicon
      1. Have GOH Claire Hoffman
      2. Working with tabletop.events for registration, etc
      3. Next meeting Sunday May 19, 6 PM, North Liberty Pizza Ranch
  5. Other Projects
    1. Game Library – Subtext, Thursday June 6, 5 pm, The Hobby Corner, Iowa City
    2. Annual Inventory – Saturday, June 22, 10am-8pm, Iowa city Park Shelter (the enclosed one). They need help with this inventory. Michele will need help loading, inventorying and returning to the locker. 5+ people please. Free food and drink will be provided.
    3. Book Group: Tuesday, May 21st, 6 PM, Panera’s Cedar Rapids, The Mote in God’s Eye by Larry Niven & Jerry Pournelle.
  6. Old Business
    1. Parade at Trek Fest, 10 AM, Saturday June 29th, Riverside Iowa. Theme Alien Species. Are we doing this? Need someone to take charge of organizing it.
    2. Parade at Coralville 4th Fest, Thursday July 4, 10 AM. Are we doing this? Need someone to take charge of organizing it.
    3. Moved to spend $500 to co-sponsor Sandra Gimpel at Trek Fest. Seconded and Passed.
  7. New Business
    1. Quad City’s Game Fest – Bryan Nash. Looking for sponsorship, organizers and/or helpers. Had good discussion, asked him to submit a proposal.
    2. Election of new board member. John Johnson’s term is up. He is willing to run again. Anyone else? No one else nominated. John was re-elected for a 3 year term ending in May 2022.
    3. We are running low on pens for all three conventions. Moved to order pens for all three for about $621. Seconded and passed.
    4. Moved to accept Bryan Nash as a new Mindbridge member. Passed.
    5. Will need a new meeting location for the Cedar Rapids meetings starting in September.
    6. Food and Fun! Our thanks to Victoria for arranging the food and beverages.
