Minutes for January 2nd Mindbridge Meeting

  1. Call to Order
  2. Minutes from the December Meeting were not read, other than voting on the 2013 ICON bid no business was transacted at the December meeting.
  3. Highlights from the Treasurer’s Report were read.
  4. Gamicon
    1. Clinton Boomer Guest.
    2. Prereg ends January 20th.
    3. Big Pathfinder Event.
    4. Meeting Sunday at Nigel and Susan’s.
    5. GM Party 1-5 at Critical Hits Games on January 19th.
  5. AnimeIowa
    1. Preregistration now open.
    2. Next meeting — January 19th 2:00 pm at the Coralville Merriot.
  6. ICON
    1. Bid for Icon 2013 voted on and accepted at the December Mindbridge meeting.
  7. Other Projects
    1. Game Library — 15 new games donated. Need 2 new tubs!
    2. Book Group — January 14th at Coffee Smiths in Cedar Rapids at 6 pm. They will be discussing Clone Codes by the McKissocks.
    3. Film Group — January 25th at the Denny Lynch home at 6:30 pm. They will be viewing Dumbo.
  8. Old Business
    1. The February 6th Mindbridge meeting will be held at Buffalo Wild Wings in Coralville at 6:00 pm. If attending please RSVP to Catherine Schaff-Stump by January 31st.
    2. Finalization of the Mindbridge Scholarship — Official announcement coming soon!
  9. New Business
    1. Watch for info on the Mindbridge Goodreads Book Challenge on the Mindbridge website.
    2. New Mindbridge member, Tiffany Smith voted in.
