Minutes for April 4th Mindbridge Meeting

  1. Call to Order
  2. Minutes from the January Meeting were not read, but are posted on the Mindbridge list and web site.
  3. Highlights from the Treasurer’s Report were read.
  4. AnimeIowa
    1. 2013 Bid in for Board approval.
    2. Dealers are signing up and programming filling up.
    3. Some reorganizing of department structure.
  5. ICON
    1. In hibernation, but new stuff coming soon.
  6. Gamicon
    1. Did really well. 306 attendees. 2nd largest ever.
    2. Looking forward to next year, March 8-10th.
  7. Other Projects
    1. Game Library — Overflowing with games. In need of a new tub.
    2. Book Group — April 23rd at Coffee Talk Café at 6 pm. They will be discussing The Angel’s Game by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
    3. Film Group — April 27th at the Denny Lynch home at 6:30 pm. They will be viewing The Wicker Man.
  8. Old Business
    1. Planning for our next two social events. May — Avengers Movie outing. June — Board Gaming night. More info to come soon.
    2. Mindbridge Polos: Working on it. New logo and shirts to come from Rage Graphics.
  9. New Business
    1. Annual Membership Dinner- May 19th from 11 am to 6 pm at the Canterbury Inn in Coralville. We will be electing a new Mindbridge board member.
    2. We are once again sponsoring the Iowa City Zombie March.
    3. Steve will be manning the Mindbridge table at Trek Fest again this year. June 30th.
    4. New members voted in. Shawn Johnson, John Johnson, and Tyler Sandersfeld.
