Special Event???
What is this “Special” event that Dan was talking about in the updated registration post?
Glad you asked! Currently Aaron is in talks with the fine folks of Wylde Nept in an effort to see if we can get them to do a show for us on the Friday or Saturday of the convention. Depending on whether or not we can get Wylde Nept to play or not will determine when we are having the Dance.
Now some of you might ask, why in the blue blazes are they offering an Entertainment badge? Simply! For years many of you who attend ICON, myself included, have paid on an intermitent basis. We know that a lot of you tend to stay at the hotel in an effort to socialize with friends and folk that yo otherwise don’t get to see. In an effort to encourage people to keep the convention alive, the Concom came up with the simple idea of having an Entertainment Badge.
Now keep in mind that all this badge will do is get you into the Dance and hopefully the Wylde Nept Show. Does this mean that the regular attendees need to pay extra money to see the show? Heck no! It’s included in with the cost of your registration. So the moral to the story is: register early and register often.
