AnimeIowa, is the longest running anime convention in the Mid-west. Starting in 1997, AnimeIowa has run continously each and every year with no stop in sight. Demicon, was started by the fine folks who ran ICON for more than a decade from the 80's and well in to the 90's. After having moved far enough away, they started their local convention and have seen nothing but success every since.
