Minutes for August 3rd Mindbridge Meeting

  1. Call to Order
  2. Minutes from July Meeting were not read, but are posted on the Mindbridge list and web site.
  3. Highlights from the Treasurer’s Report were read.
  4. AnimeIowa Report
    1. AI happened! Went very well! 2800 attendees. No damage to the hotel and no major problems to report. There were some issues with air conditioning and water at the hotel, however.
  5. ICON Report
    1. Website is up and running. Preregistrations are being taken online. A general mailing will be coming soon. A dealers mailing has already gone out.
  6. Gamicon Report
    1. Guest News! Jay Jummelson from Rio Grande Games! An updated flyer will be coming soon!
  7. Other Projects
    1. Game Library — Was used well by AnimeIowa.
    2. Book Group — August 22nd at Coffee Talk Café at 6 pm. They will be discussing HeadCrash by Bruno Bethke.
    3. Film Group — August 19th at the Denny Lynch home at 6:30 pm. They will be viewing The Wages of Fear.

    1. No old business.
  9. New Business
    1. A vote was held on the 2012 AnimeIowa bid. The bid was accepted.
