Book Discussion Group: The Dead Zone

The Mindbridge Book Discussion Group met this evening at the Coffee Talk Cafe in Cedar Rapids to discuss The Yiddish Policeman’s Union. Our general consensus was the book was good but in spite of winning the Nebula Award, it was not a Science-Fiction novel. Once again Cath took notes of the discussion and posted them over at Writer Tamago. Did anybody else out there read the book? If so, what were your thoughts?

And don’t forget to mark your calendars, as we’ll be meeting next month to discuss The Magic Thief by Sarah Prineas on July 14th. Don’t forget the author will be joining us that day, so bring your questions for her!

  1. Oh and for those of you who enjoy Sarah Prineas’s work, you might want to check out Escape Pod’s audio adaption of Seamstress, which originally appeared in Realms of Fantasy (Aug 2003) and also received an honorable mention in the year’s best fantasy & horror anthology.
